On April 24, 2025, Omniwomyn hosted our second annual OmniProm at the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation — a day filled with joy, community, and unforgettable moments. Watching young women light up as they found their perfect dress made every second worth it. Thank you to everyone who donated dresses, volunteered, or helped spread the word. OmniProm is more than a dress giveaway — it’s a reminder that every girl is worthy of celebration, always.

In collaboration with Somewhere Genius, we have created a statement tote bag. A portion of all proceeds from purchasing a tote bag will be donated to our organization. Funds will be allocated to our scholarship fund, mentorship programming, and so much more! Purchases can be made at SomeWhereGenius.Com. 

In collaboration with Prestige Scents, we have created rose-scented wax melts. A portion of all proceeds from purchasing wax melts will be donated to our organization. In collaboration with BasBlue, Omniwomyn brought OmniProm to the Detroit community in 2024. Together, we collected gently used prom dresses at BasBlue’s space at 110 E Ferry St. Community members were also able to coordinate dress pickups by reaching out through our website.

On March 29, 2024, BasBlue hosted a volunteer event where supporters helped sort dresses and prepare them for cleaning, making OmniProm possible for dozens of local students. We’re grateful to BasBlue and all our volunteers for helping make this initiative a success!

Omniwomyn is proud to partner with STYLE to launch a mentorship initiative that prioritizes organic connections. We’re moving beyond the traditional one-on-one matching model, focusing instead on creating environments where women can naturally connect and build lasting mentor-mentee relationships.

Omniwomyn and Arab Women United are proud to announce their partnership in launching an empowering online internship series designed to provide practical career advancement tools for women across diverse fields. This collaborative initiative combines the missions of both organizations to uplift and equip women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary for professional growth.

The series will feature a curriculum tailored to address the unique challenges women face in their careers while offering actionable strategies for success. Topics will include professional branding, effective communication, networking strategies, resume optimization, interview preparation, and leveraging technology for career growth. Each session will be hosted by industry experts and accomplished professionals, providing participants with valuable insights and mentorship opportunities.

This internship program emphasizes accessibility and inclusivity, with a virtual format to accommodate participants from all backgrounds and locations.
